Why it works this way
Your file never leaves the tab
The usual PDF site uploads your document, works on it somewhere else and sends it back. Bindery does the work here, on your own processor. A contract, a payslip or a medical form never becomes someone else’s copy.
Free, with nothing held back
No account, no page limit, no watermark, no "upgrade to download". There is no paid tier to push you towards, because your device is doing the work and static files cost almost nothing to serve.
It keeps working with the network off
A tool you have used once keeps working on a train, on a plane, or on a locked-down machine, because its engine is cached in your browser. That is only possible because nothing here depends on a server.
Questions
Are my files really not uploaded?
Really. Every tool runs as JavaScript and WebAssembly inside this tab, using your own processor. You can check: open your browser’s network panel and use any tool — you will see no request carrying your file, because there is no server to send it to.
Why is it free? What is the catch?
There is no per-file cost to us, because your device does the work. The site is a set of static files, so it costs almost nothing to run. It is paid for by small adverts for other independent apps, which is why there is no signup, no page limit and no watermark.
How is this different from the usual PDF sites?
Those sites upload your document to their servers, process it there and send it back — and most then ask for a subscription once you have a result. Here the file never leaves your device, everything is free, and nothing is added to your document.
Is there a file size or page limit?
No limit is imposed. The practical ceiling is your device’s memory, which is far more generous than the free tier of a site paying for its own servers. Documents of several hundred pages are routine.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the page has loaded once. The tools, the fonts and the PDF engines are all cached by your browser. Some heavier tools download an engine on first use and then keep it.
Do you track me?
No analytics, no cookies for tracking, no accounts. The only outbound links are the adverts in the side panel, and those only go anywhere if you click them.
